No doubt you're all wondering where Ronan and his support team are. Last you heard on Sunday they were headed for Saint John. As expected on Monday, Ronan, Malcolm, their Mom and Dad, grandmother Teresa and Stephanie and Zeta made the trek from Halifax to home. Since then Ronan has developed a temperature for which he is being treated. This isn't entirely unexpected due to depressed white blood cells - it's just a little bit disappointing for him and the team.
Ali and Joe are optimistic this will resolve in a few days. While this means no visitors for the moment emails, cards and blog comments are welcomed and encouraged! Ali has promised to provide her own thoughts on being at home amongst friends and family at her first opportunity.
That's all the news for now. Please continue to follow Ronan on the blog and stay tuned. And say a prayer, rock out to Guns'n Roses or eat some Doritos.
Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.
This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

Aw, shoot! I just called your place and wondered where you were, not expecting for you to be back at the health hotel. Call me when you can Ali, we have all had our flu shots and are anxious to hang out! Nice to know you are in the city though!! Remember how much I love you and we are praying for you all the time...

Hang in there Ronan. You're a "fighter', and you will soon overcome this temporary setback. (We're sure you must have some of your Uncle Maynard's "genes".) Hope you all enjoy your Christmas "stay" in your own territory. We will be praying for you. Eddie and Joan
