Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. A Magical Moment ...




When we arrived this morning a large box was waiting for Ronan...from Edinburgh, UK!
From J K Rowling! Wanda Elliott (friend and neighbour of my family since I was a little girl) wrote to Ms. Rowling about Ronan, who read the letter and had a package sent to Ronan with the above signed photo. The package included: an illuminating wand, Harry Potter CLUE, a Dumbledore bookmark, a Harry Potter fleece blanket, trading cards, and a Gryffindor notebook. Thank you JK!
We've played CLUE - a good twist to a classic game - Thanks Wanda! What an amazing treat for Ronan! Megan we thought of you and you'll have to come and play the game!

    Thats amazing! Ronan must have been soo excited. Thats an incredible gift!
    Today we started writing speeches in school. The subject was "My Hero."
