Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. Best possible result ever

Dr. Fernandez delivered great news this evening. The news we have been praying for. Ronan's biopsy report revealed that the spots in question were reduced to scar tissue. The doctors think they were once tumorous, but there is no evidence of tumor now. And Dr. Giacomantonio removed everything. All the cancer that was in Ronan is not in Ronan anymore. Our boy is a warrior. But let us live in the moment and focus on getting the chest tube removed in the morning!

    Amazing!!!!!!! On Dec. 20 just a few days before Christmas you posted electrifying news on Ronan's progress, and now April. 20 just a few days before Easter, more unspeakably glorious news!!! Inspiring beyond belief!!!

    That is such great news Ali!!! We are so happy for you guys! I can only imagine how awesome it was to hear the doctor tell you this news! I hope you guys get to Hawaii soon. If anyone deserves a great vacation, it's the four of you!!
