So the boardgame "Risk" is Joe's favourite game. On the weekend he went out and bought the game. The game of world domination and strategy. My strategy is to make it difficult for Joe to win - even if it turns out to be a suicide mission for me (the game lasts hours, so sometimes this is a good way out). This was the case on Monday when the three of us were playing in the hotel. I said once I got knocked out of the game I would go shopping. (I did too!) Anyway, we played yesterday and Ronan won. We played today and Ronan and I eliminated Joe and Ronan said, "Dad, I think it's your turn to go shopping". We laughed and laughed. Joe is out at a bookstore, and Ronan won the game. :)

Ronan, my kids suggest you try out Transformers Risk, and Settlers of Catan. Both take a loooooong time to play but are really fun (we enjoy the "smack" talk you can do while playing).
ReplyDeleteWe are addicted to Crazy Eight Countdown and Spite and Malice (talk about your smack downs!) .Both games just use plan old playing cards. (Spite and Malice is like Skip Bo with a few crazy rules thrown in). Rules would be online for both I am sure. I love beating the heck out of Helen and Bob and Peggy and Peter. Try it...you will love beating people too! Barbara
