Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

ROOM 603 - Round 2 Begins

Well, we are down the hall this time, closer to the kitchen, the laundry room and the playroom.
Chemo will be starting about 1pm. It runs through the IV lines and into his porto-cath (he's been plugged into his skinny friend again).
It was not easy coming back, but there was a big box full of scrumptious cookies and books waiting from Uncle Duane, Auntie Mitsuko and cousins Kai, Kian and Cuinn. Express Post from California only took 2 weeks!! Ronan groaned at the Gr. 4 Math work :) And it only took him a couple of pages to figure out that he had to read from right to left in the Japanese comic! Thanks guys! The cookies are still scrumptious!

  2. Glad to hear that you guys had a great weekend, you deserve a break!

Let Andrea and me know if you need a latte break sometime in the weeks to come... it's the perfect excuse for a study break for us!

    Take care of yourself :)
