Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. What day is it?

Hi everyone. It is 4:09am. Ronan is sleeping peacefully.
We have been kept very busy these past few days and are learning
something every second. Thanks Dave for setting up this blog.
Thanks to the staff and students at PCS who sent Ronan a beautiful flower
arrangement, balloon and stuffed monkey. Ronan has his monkey in bed with
him and the balloon is tied to his bedrail.
Thanks to everyone for sending your love and prayers. Keep it coming!!
Everytime someone calls or emails I give Ronan a kiss and it makes him smile. Please never hesitate to call or email. It helps.
Our room is comfortable - the staff here is phenomenal - and Ronan has the use of a PS3 (did I get that right? because I keep saying it wrong), an xbox and a library of movies. He has even met two boys on 6 link who we are looking forward to hanging out with.

    Hi Ronan: I had the pleasure of meeting you just awhile ago in my office at Havelock when I was admiring your brother's cello. I read that when someone posts your mom gives you a kiss (or is that dad?) so tell them to pucker up. I am thinking of you all.
