Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.
This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.
Thinking of you guys. Hope today is a good day out there. It's cold here in Carleton Place but the weather folks say it will reach 10 degrees soon! Love the picture of Ronan :) His big smile looks so much like your smile Ali (his eyes) and I can tell he has the Boyd hair :) There was an old photo floating around years ago in Mom and Cameron's house. I believe it was Joe's Dad (can't be sure) but I remember how much Joe resembled the photo. It would be neat to see it again and compare it to Ronan at this age because I bet Joe's Dad was the same age in the photo. I haven't seen a very recent pic of Malcolm, do they look a lot alike? Are the boys both playing the violin? I remember Ronan having one when he was very little. I imagine they both have the same talent as their folks. Well, I will be following this blog and checking in on you all. Take care today. Love Steph
ReplyDeleteHi guys...miss all of you and I have been thinking of you every second. The girls have popped letters in the mail today, hope you get them soon. There have been lots of talk about fundraisers and what we can do in that way...but I will talk to you about that more later. I love the picture of Ronan, he is so sweet and give him a hug for me. Talk to you soon.
