Ronan's white blood cell count is almost back to normal - his body is recovering from his first round of chemo treatments. He had a sleepy day today - he was given a new drug yesterday to help with anxiety and nausea. What we are hoping for this week is to get him eating, and getting out of the hospital for a few days.
Thank you everyone for your continuous love and support.
Thank you Rachel for visiting today - meeting my family, playing with Malcolm, bringing us vegetables, tea and almonds!
Robin and Andrea - thanks for the visit yesterday and bringing me the vanilla latte (that was delicious!), books, magazines - one of you forgot your red mittens. I'll have to get them back to you they look warm!
Blaise and Fiona - Ronan has hung the Worry Wort on his skinny friend right next to his bed. It is very cute and soft and he has turned it so it looks at him.
Thanks for being so thoughtful. The cards are really nice. We like the airplane and the colourful drawing!
Andrea, Emily, Kenton, Trevor and Tom. Thanks for lending me my sister :) The card is awesome. The pictures are great. The jokes are funny Trevor.
love and hugs to you all

Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.
This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.
