Janet Clinton said "It was the most incredible event I've ever been to, and I was moved beyond words".
Everyone worked together and the evening was flawless! People had a fantastic time and the love/support in the room was energetic! There were 140 items listed on a sheet in the program for the silent auction with another 25 or so last minute additions.
There are lots of pictures of those involved and they can been seen here: http://picasaweb.google.com/musicflowerpainter/THERONANTEAMFUNDRAISER?pli=1&gsessionid=_gDNvEtDUorX28u-40m5cg#

Take one very sick little boy
Mix in a kind-hearted (violin-playing!) chef and family.
Add a generous church with an available gym.
Stir in an army of volunteers - family, friends, colleagues...and complete strangers who just wanted to help.
Carefully fold in a silent auction with everything from a fake pug dog to a load of compost.
...and you get a wonderful evening with great food and company to offer support and encouragement to Ronan and the Leonard/Boyd family.
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
For your part in making this possible.
The volunteer list included nearly 70 people. Plus others from Prince Charles School who provided the decorations and other volunteers who provided the deserts.
Wow!!!!!
Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.
This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

This was indeed one of the most memorable evenings of my life. I feel so privileged to have been part of such a dynamic team to help make this event happen. There were many times during the night I was moved to tears with the overwhelming amount of support that was there. When I arrived the room was almost snapping with the amount of energy present. Ronan, you were the super star of the night. I am so proud to be your friend and your Mom & Dads, a place in your life I don't take lightly! I sure love you guys!
