Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. Wish Trip booked!!!

We are flying to Wailea on the island of Maui on August 15 and we come home Aug. 23rd. Holy mackerel! Does any of this seem real? We will be snorkelling at Molokini and we have a helicopter tour booked over the Haleakala volcano, Joe is signed up for a surfing lesson in Lahaina. Joe is trying to schedule things to do and I keep saying that we need time to be beach bums!! We all have new bathing suits for our trip!! I check the weather network for Hawaii everyday - hot and sunny... it will be great to escape the Saint John fog!
