Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. Round 7 complete...and the winner is...RONAN!!

Ronan completed his chemotherapy this afternoon at 3:10!! He has to stay one more night at the hospital to get Mesna (the tumor lice preventing medicine) and 24hrs of hydration to make sure all the dead cells are flushed out. He does so well with output (peeing) that we hope to be home for lunch tomorrow. Yipee!
Now may his hair grow - and Ronan I promise I will never beg and plead for you to cut your hair again!
