Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

Wow, has it has been a week already?

Ronan is getting his tubes out tomorrow!! Which also means that we will most likely be coming home this weekend! When they say kids recover much faster than adults...it is true. And impressive.
Lydia and Tanna - it was lovely to see you again. Aunt Theresa - I hope you feel better and we look forward to seeing you this summer. Thanks for the muffins and coffee!
Rachel and Ben - thanks for the visit and the yummy cookies!
Andrea, Robin and Owen - thanks for the visits and the lattes.
Malcolm - we miss you but we'll be home soon.

xo

  2. Hi . I just got back from Cuba(1st time south!) and thought of Ronan alot. We left for Halifax the same day;I for my flight to the most stunning beach in the world and you for a life-saving operation. The day of surgery, I dedicated thanks and prayers for such earthly beauty that surrounded me to Ronan... also beautiful! All the best for a smooth recovery,Barbara.
