Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. 9 am Update

We received a short call from Ali after 9 am. She and Joe had an update from the sugurey team - I know that's spelled incorrectly but cannot think of the correct spelling at the moment. There wasn't a lot to report other than that Ronan's operation was going well and as expected.

A more recent text - from moments ago - from Ali states that the liver resection is continuing.

Keep up the prayers and warm thoughts.

    Not that it matters Karen but it's spelled surgery. Totally understandable and at this point in time, totally acceptable. Keep posting the updates regardless of mispelled words. Much appreciated by all I am sure.
