Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. March Break in Halifax!

Ronan is scheduled for surgery Wednesday, March 9th.
He will be admitted to 7 Link on March 8th so we can meet the surgeon, tour the OR, etc...but he doesn't want us to talk about the date - Ronan if you are reading this it is because you wanted to know but you wanted to read about it, not hear your mom talking about it -
Tomorrow will be a week post-chemo and so blood counts will be on the decline until next weekend. Let's hope Ronan can stay fever and hospital-free this week.

    Ronan,
    I think having surgery on the 9th is the good news, you can enjoy Saint Patricks Day on the 17th all the better having it behind you!
