Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

End of Week 4

Things are all in place for us to come home, we are just waiting the official OK. It looks like we might be in Halifax for the weekend (hotel again! - fingers crossed) and then come home to rest as Ronan's WBC (white blood counts) recover from chemotherapy. The timing is right for Ronan to be feeling good for Christmas!
The anti-nausea meds are working this time and Ronan has been able to eat (yeah!)

This week we had mail from Joanne, Garry, Cameron and Rosita in Ottawa - Cameron we love the Harry Potter drawing and all the nurses comment on it!
Sonja, Dave, Gavin and Elspeth - thanks for the card (and the lesson for Malcolm - I'm going to try and get the cello glued on Monday!) Gavin- thanks for busking - are we letting you count that as practise time?
Val, Sue, Elizabeth and James - the card and Christmas stickers came just in time for our door decorating!!!
Ed, Joan, Russell, and Rita - thank you for your visits this week.

Tanya - I heard from my dad that the Zumba was really fun tonight...and his calves are going to be sore tomorrow!!
