We had several visitors today. Rachel and Graham Kidd stopped by this morning - Rachel is a friend and orchestra stand-partner extraordinaire since grade school and Graham is Ronan's friend from church choir.
We were also visited by my wonderful friend Benita who brought a string of Christmas lights which are now decorating the room.
Malcolm and my dad then joined us and brought us a big box of letters and jokes from their friends Megan, Lydia, Sarah and Annie Paterson and their mom and my wonderful friend Tanya who made yummy cookies. Also in the box of goodies were beautiful pictures from Astrid and Shasta Wray. Girls - the jokes made us all crack up and all of your pictures are being taped to the walls. Thank you Kelli for running these downstairs in your housecoat this morning!
We were also visited from Russell and Rita Fougere and Eddie Fougere (I hope I spelled your names correctly) and they admitted to being half-Boyds. Eddie also tried to convince me that Russell was his father. :)
We are now playing games - Ronan and Joe are playing Monopoly Deal and Malcolm and I are playing Blokus to Go! (he beat me twice - he is so good at stategy puzzle games).
I also want to add that my mom has been here since Sunday and is constantly feeding us - so don't worry about that while she is here! Thank you mom.
So if any of you are hesitating about whether or not to visit - don't ask - just knock and enter - if the nurses can do it...you can too!

Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.
This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

So glad you liked the cookies :) and the girls were tickled that Ronan liked all of their hard work! It was wonderful to talk to you today. The Patersons will be there for a visit at some point...hopefully sooner than later!

So that sounds like you guys are having a big party. I wish that I was there but it is so great to hear about you. I think the Fougers are actually very proud of their half-Boydness!
