Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

Rocking for Ronan

Rock for Ronan is happening at the BrickHouse in Saint John on Friday, December 10th.  From 9 til 2.

Todd Cunningham, a member of the Dharma Bums was recently asked to reform the band to play at a benefit for Ronan.  Other than one reunion show a few years back, they haven't played together in 10 years.  Todd wrote "Ronan has basically inspired us to reunite so we can participate in the event, along with a few other bands".

Todd says they are all very excited and truly honoured to be a part of "Rocking for Ronan".  The band feels absolutely privileged to have been asked to be a part of "Rock for Ronan".

The show is generating quite a lot of buzz SJ.

"I don't know Ronan, nor Joe or Ali (although I know her name, as a musician) or Malcolm" wrote Todd.  The band is doing this, in part, because they believe that the family needs to focus on each other right now without worrying about missing time at work and whatnot.

Keep watching the blog for more information.   We will pass it on as it arrives.

Rock on.
