Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

Flu shots for visitors

Hi everyone. While Ronan is distracted from all of this with a PS3, Xbox, movies, a new Kindle, a netbook, skype, new games, books, reactivating his email account, his brother, letters, pictures, all his visitors ... I have this blog. Thanks for that Dave, Karen and Steph.

But I have to ask all of you who want to visit to get your flu shot. You may not be allowed to visit Ronan in the coming week or weeks if you don't get it. We will be receiving ours soon - hopefully tomorrow.

Okay. I love how the number of views on this site goes up every time I check...I admit I am probably guilty for a large number of them!!

xo

  1. Hi Ali and Joe, I'm so glad for this blog - I was feeling helpless and out of touch with all of you. When Tom gets back from school tomorrow we'll get him on here to write a note. We have skype - Grant will set Tom up on that. We're thinking off all of you constantly and sending our prayers and best good energy your way. We have a friend who lives one door over from Ronald McDonald House. Is that where you're staying? Anything you need? Love and hugs to the boys.
Love, Kate and Grant, Tom and Ian
