Ronan was born on June 13, 2001 in Edmonton to Joe and Ali. He is a big brother to Malcolm; grandson to Lydia, Teresa and Bob; nephew, cousin and friend to many. A 4th grader at Prince Charles School; musician; music lover; chess champion; Harry Potter fan; bananagram-er; card shark; board gamer, corny joke teller. And cancer fighter.

This blog is intended to ensure that Ronan’s vast support team of family and friends are connected, informed and engaged while he, dad Joe, mom Ali and brother Malcolm help him beat a terrible, scary disease - embryonal sarcoma, a rare childhood liver cancer. So welcome to Ronan’s blog. Sit, read, cry, and vow to fight this fight with Ronan, Malcolm, Ali and Joe. And please leave a few words of encouragement with a Comment.

It's June already!

Well it has been 4 weeks today that Ronan finished his last round of chemo. We haven't been to the hospital in 2 weeks!!!! We are getting into somewhat of a routine...Ronan is going to school for the mornings, I played with Symphony New Brunswick for the first time since October...Joe is competing in a chess tournament...and Malcolm has me to walk him to school everyday :) We are all glad that summer is almost here!
Tomorrow afternoon, Ronan has a fingerpoke at the hospital and then we are going to the lab to check out Ronan's blood under the microscope!
Joe took this photo yesterday...Ronan loves that he can wear a bandana to school and be cool :)

I have a doo-rag style hat I made for Ronan. It has skulls, and some of them glow in the dark. I'll give it to you, Ali next time I see you.
